I have been fascinated by the process of job applications since being a volunteer for the 1997 job fair of the Latin American Association of Atlanta. We welcomed 500 jobseekers and introduced them to employers who wanted bilingual employees to enrich their corporation or company. It was an incredible experience to analyse those 500 CVs. I could see which were engaging, had a great layout, were well organised and relevant to the vacancies available at the fair. Some made me want to meet the applicant, others were too vague, cliché or impersonal. Since then I have educated myself on the art form of CV, LinkedIn and cover letter writing and assisted people from all walks of life over the years applying for a variety of roles and industries. I help jobseekers with wisdom, knowledge and care. It is common that my clients refer me to their friends. I am based in Glasgow and work online which means that I can assist people from all over the world if they are applying in English to a vacancy.
